1. Indira Gandhi International Airport,Delhi 

Situated in the heart of the country, Indira Gandhi International Airport is the busiest in India. With three swanky Terminals, this airport has become the most important aviation hub in India with a capacity of handling more than 46 million passengers. The airport is a major hub for international flights, and its new avatar includes shopping plazas, passenger lounges, retail outlets and Food courts. The airport was awarded the fourth best airport in the world by the Airport Council International. It is the busiest airport in India.
Has an annual capacity of over 60 million passengers.
Around 36.88 million passengers passed through it in 2013.
It has an integrated International and Domestic terminal. T3 is a 9 level passenger terminal building and has 2 piers each 1.2 km long.

The terminal is said to be the sixth largest in the world.
In 2010, Delhi’s T3 terminal opened up after five years of development and spending of Rs 12,700 crore.
Delhi’s IGI Airport was adjudged as the 2nd best. This is the third time in a row that IGIA has won the coveted award for airport service quality (ASQ) from ACI.

2. Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai

The Mumbai airport gets its prominence from being located in the financial capital of India. It also happens to be one of the most important airports in South Asia, and handles over 30 million passengers and a significant share of air cargo in the country. It is the second busiest airport in India, and a major hub for incoming passengers from the Middle East. The airport has a total of five terminals, and has undergone a major face-lift in the past few years.

3. Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad 

The Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Hyderabad is a relatively new airport, which replaced the old one at Begumpet in 2008. The airport was built on a public-private partnership—the second in India—by the GMR group. Spread over 5400 acres, the airport has the capacity to handle 40 million passengers annually, and is the sixth busiest one in India. It has consistently been ranked among the world’s best airports.An international airport serving the metropolis of Hyderabad located at Shamshabad, about 22 km (14 mi) south of Hyderabad. It’s operated by a private company and handles around 7 million passengers a year.

The airport is excellent with world class facilities, including “in line” baggage screening machines, plenty of check-in and immigration counters to prevent delays, and good crowd control.
